How to Use ARRoom

Getting Started

ARRoom is a WebXR interior design application that lets you create and visualize room layouts in 3D, VR, and AR. Here's how to get started:

  1. Click "Launch" to open the 3D editor
  2. Enter VR/AR mode (on supported mobile devices, you can view your designs in augmented reality) or continue using the desktop interface
  3. Click anywhere on the ground to create the first wall edge
  4. Continue clicking to outline the room shape (you can tune it later)
  5. Click on a wall to create openings
  6. Save your work by pressing the "Save Scene" button
  7. Access "Projects" page to manage saved scenes
  8. Rename, delete, or load previous scenes
  9. Allow others to walkthrough your space using "Share" button

Browser Mode

All ARRoom capabilities are available in desktop browser mode. Use mouse and keyboard controls to navigate and design your space.

AR/VR Mode

ARRoom supports VR headsets like Meta Quest. In VR/AR mode:

  • Use the right controller to interact with objects
  • Point and squeeze the trigger to grab and move objects
  • Access the menu on your left controller
  • Look at menu buttons to highlight them, then squeeze to activate
